PHS Hit With $312,000 verdict
Prison Health Services, a private company that provides "medical care" to prisoners, has just been found negligent in the case of a 41-year-old prisoner who broke his ankle and failed to receive proper medical attention. They have to pay him $312,000. It took them 5 days to X-ray his ankle, after which they put it in a cast and placed him in a top-tier bunk, forcing him to climb up and down stairs every day.

The targeting of poor people for the purpose of profiteering must end. Slavery has never gone away, it is disguised with new labels. The poor are almost always set up to look guilty of crimes because they can't fight back!

I can't bury my son Carlos Valentin. Police stole my sons money and property and all his I.D. I don't have any money for his funeral. I wish i could have taken his place. To all those that asked when my son will have a funeral. I don't know.
